The Behavioral Health Institute at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA is hiring a therapist for our coordinated specialty care First Episode Psychosis (FEP) team! The team therapist should have previous experience treating young adults experiencing psychiatric symptoms, substance use and other health-risk behaviors, and life stressors utilizing evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Individual Resiliency Training or Illness Management and Recovery, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and/or Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment. The team therapist will assist with providing culturally-competent, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and measurement-based care for clients on the first episode psychosis team. The therapist may participate in clinical assessment activities, as appropriate. He or she will work collaboratively with the clinical team in treatment planning, including participating in regular team meetings and family meetings. Strong candidates are recovery-oriented and have previous experience working with individuals with psychosis and their families.
Must be amenable to some municipal travel for community visits and outreach. At times, the FEP team therapist may be asked to work non-conforming hours in order to meet with clients. Individuals must be licensed in Washington as a Doctoral- or Master’s-level mental health provider to apply (salary commensurate with degree and experience).
